(Opalesque) Henry Jones has been named Chair and Bill Slaton Vice Chair of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System’s investment committee.
Jones was first elected to the CalPERS in 2007 by retired CalPERS members. He was re-elected to terms beginning in 2012 and 2016, and also serves as vice president of the Board. Jones is a retired chief financial officer of the Los Angeles Unified School District. He currently serves as a personnel commissioner for the Los Angeles Community College District, and is a board member of the Robert Toigo Foundation and the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute.
