Barnegat Fund starts 2017 strong, up 5.7% through February

(Opalesque) Komfie Manalo, Opalesque Asia: The Barnegat Fund, the hedge fund run by Bob Treue has started the year off to a good start. The fund was up 2.2% in February and up 5.7% for the first two months of 2017.”Our net, annual compound rate of return since our launch in 2001 is +16.4% per year,” Treue said.

The annualized volatility of our share price for the month of February was 3.64%. Treue said he would still anticipate the fund’s volatility to be closer to the long-term target of 8-10%. Share Price Volatility in 2016 was 7.6%. As of end of February, the hedge fund’s assets totaled $618 million.
