Omega Advisors’ Cooperman Rails Against SEC After Tense $4.9m Legal Battle

(New York Post) Leon Cooperman is still smarting from his costly battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission and has some suggestions for Wall Street’s watchdogs. To prevent others from seeing their businesses harmed by regulatory overreach, Cooperman suggested the SEC reimburse their target’s legal expenses for failed cases and privately offer explanations for why the case was brought, Cooperman wrote Tuesday in an op-ed on CNBC.com.
