Commission Gets Data on Hedge Funds

WSJ – The biggest lobbying group for hedge funds has handed over names and contact information for its more-than 2,600 members to a congressional commission studying the financial crisis, after the commission demanded it, according to a letter to the group’s members.

The Managed Funds Association turned over the information, most of which isn’t public, on May 13 under threat of subpoena from the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, according to a letter the Washington-based hedge-fund lobbying group sent to members late last week.
