AMC shares fall 40% as Regal Cinemas owner warns of potential bankruptcy

(CNBC) Shares of theater chain and meme trader favorite AMC fell on Monday as a rival warned of potential bankruptcy and a new preferred share class hit the market. AMC’s stock dropped nearly 42%, building on a loss of more than 26% last week. The new preferred shares from AMC were likely a major reason for the decline.
