The Age- New York woman, whose lawyer said she has worked at hedge funds, has been charged with operating a $US2-million-a-year prostitution business.
Kristin Davis, 32, was accused of money laundering and promoting prostitution through a ”high-end prostitution ring” that charged anywhere from ”a few hundred to several thousand dollars per hour,” prosecutor Artie McConnell said today in state court in Manhattan. Davis pleaded not guilty to the charges. Justice Charles Tejada ordered her held after she was unable to make her $US2 million bail.
High-class call-girl services have been front-page news in New York since former Governor Eliot Spitzer was identified as a client of Emperors Club VIP, which federal prosecutors called an international prostitution ring. Spitzer resigned on March 12 following allegations that he was a client of the club.
