Throgmorton Hires Hedge Fund Tax Specialist

Throgmorton, one of the UK’s largest hedge fund accountancy and back office service providers, has announced a major hire in Neil Oliver, formerly a senior director with Ernst & Young and a tax consultant with over 20 years’ experience advising the investment management sector.

Neil will facilitate Throgmorton’s efforts to expand its client base in the hedge fund, private equity and wider financial service markets, having worked extensively within this industry.

Immediately prior to joining Throgmorton, Neil, a Chartered Tax Advisor and Fellow of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants, spent 24 years with Ernst & Young where he gained extensive experience in the fund management and wider financial services industries and has advised at the highest level on audit, tax and regulatory matters.  From August 2009 to October 2011 Neil headed up Ernst & Young’s Jersey office and is a former Chairman of the Alternative Investment Management Association’s (AIMA) tax committee.
