FIM Advisers LLP’s Flagship Low Volatility Fund of Funds Reaches $1 Billion

FIM Advisers LLP’s (FIM) flagship low-volatility fund of funds, FIM Long-Invest, has broken $1 billion in assets as of December 31, 2006. The Fund had a very positive 2006 rising 10.57% net of fees in the USD share class despite difficult market conditions during the middle part of the year.

Since its launch in September 1997, FIM Long-Invest’s annualised gross return has been 10.16% with a volatility of 2.99%. In the 10 years since inception (making it one of the longest running pure low volatility funds of hedge funds), the Fund has achieved 88% of “up” months and only 17 “down” months.

The success of the Fund is attributable to FIM’s research and investment platform, which is known for specialising in the low volatility arena, and the continued support and investment from its long standing clients and an increasing number of institutional investors.

Chief Executive Officer, Federico Ceretti, said “10 years ago when FIM Long-Invest was
launched, we were convinced that the low volatility investment approach was the best way to optimise returns on a risk-adjusted basis. Today this belief has not changed and we feel that

FIM’s low volatility investment philosophy will continue to be highly rewarding for investors”. FIM is a UK-based leading alternative investment management company that specialises in the creation, management and servicing of portfolios of hedge funds for institutional and private clients. Established in 1981, FIM has over twenty-five years of experience in asset management, and thirteen years advising on and managing portfolios of hedge funds. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority in the UK. Today the group manages and advises around US$ 2.6 billion of investments.
