(CNBC) U.S. stock futures inched higher in overnight trading as investors braced for a key inflation report Tuesday. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 40 points or 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures rose marginally higher.
