TrimTabs: Hedge Funds Bleed; ETFs Exceed

TrimTabs – While hedge fund investors redeemed $5 billion in September and helped set off a plunge in emerging market indexes, ETF investors have been busy putting money into the market, according to New York-based financial research firm TrimTabs.

Over the past four weeks, TrimTabs said emerging markets ETF raked in more than $5 billion. Those observations are consistent with data compiled by IndexUniverse showing that in October, investors plowed $3.77 billion into the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index Fund (NYSEArca: EEM) and another $1.17 billion into the Vanguard MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSEArca: VWO).
