Hedge funds batten down the hatches in Japan crisis

Reuters – Hedge funds are keeping their heads down as Japan’s nuclear crisis deepens, although a handful are taking profits after some unexpected gains or positioning themselves for long-term weakness in the yen.

Managers had been slowly increasing their interest in Japan in the months before last week’s earthquake and tsunami.
