He has extensive experience in the financial services industry including banking,insurance, mortgage, real estate, securities broker/dealer, investment companies, and hedge funds.</p> <p>Prior to joining Smart and Associates, Lou was a Senior Manager at Asher& Company, Ltd. where he assisted in the practice development and servicing of the firm’s larger clients, including SEC registrants and those in regulated industries such as financialservices and insurance. He built his financial service experience by accomplishing significant achievements as VP/Corporate Controller of Advanta Business Services, SVP/Finance at GMAC Mortgage, CFOat Metris Business Services, and served an official term appointment as the CFO of Camden County, NJ, where he helped achieve a Wall Street rating agency upgrade. Additionally, Lou was a Senior AuditManager with Ernst & Young, LLP serving start-up through international clients.</p> <p>Lou received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University. He formerlyserved as the Chairperson of Saint Joseph’s University Accounting Alumni Board and is currently the Finance Chairperson of Visiting Nurse Service System, Inc. Board of Directors.
