SEC Proposed Big Change To Hedge Fund Transparency, But Wall Street Said ‘No’

(Yahoo-Finance) In July, the SEC approved a proposed rule that would have serious implications for hedge funds and other large institutional investors.  The rule in question, SEC Rule 13f-1, requires that all institutional investors with at least $100 million assets under management file quarterly statements with the SEC, disclosing their holdings in stocks, ETFs and some closed-end funds.
