S.F. retirement system postpones meeting on hedge fund vote

SFGate – The president of the San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System board canceled a meeting scheduled for Wednesday to vote on a controversial proposal to put 15 percent of the system’s assets in hedge funds.

The system gave no reason for the cancellation on its website, but board President Victor Makras said it was because he couldn’t get a quorum.
