Tribune Lenders Seek Contempt Order Against Hedge Funds for Suit

Bloomberg – Tribune Co. lenders JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp. and a Citigroup Inc. unit asked a bankruptcy judge to find a group of hedge funds and investors in contempt of court for allegedly violating a mediation order by suing the banks.

The hedge funds and investors specializing in distressed debt, also lenders to Tribune, sued the banks on Oct. 29 over the 2007 buyout of the newspaper publisher, claiming the banks knew the deal would ultimately fail.
