Bank of Bermuda to Open an Office in San Francisco

<body.content> <block> <p>NEW YORK, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Bank of Bermuda , today announces that its Global Fund Services division is expanding its global network ofoffices by opening an office in San Francisco. Global Fund Services (San Francisco) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Bermuda, will provide a complete range of fund administrationservices to the alternative investment industry on the West Coast. The San Francisco office will support the California &amp; West Coast intermediaries and clients at a local level, creatingclose relationships and developing an intimate knowledge of client needs.</p> <p>Building upon the expertise within the Bank’s New York office, which specializes in the provision ofalternative fund services to both US and offshore managers, the San Francisco office will offer specialized fund accounting and valuation services utilizing the Advent Geneva platform, complex taxcalculations and investor services for domestic partnerships, utilizing Advent Partner software and offshore investor services through Koger NTAS. In addition, clients of the San Francisco officewill also benefit from a variety of new modular technology solutions currently underway.</p> <p>The office will be headed by Scott Epstein, currently Vice President and Senior ClientServices Manager for Bank of Bermuda (New York) Limited. Scott has over 11 years of experience in the investment industry. Since he joined the Bank, Scott has been responsible for managing amulti-disciplined service team, dealing with Accounting &amp; Valuation, front-end Custody and Investor Services. His responsibilities include client relationship management and dealing withregulatory authorities, auditors and lawyers. Scott has been a key member within GFS’s Alliance Partner technology program with Advent Software. He was previously a Vice President at Sanford C.Bernstein &amp; Co., Inc. — Investment Research and Management where he was responsible for overseeing the operations on various investment products totaling over US$13 billion.</p><p>Commenting on the new office, Scott said: “The hedge fund industry on the West Coast has experienced rapid growth.
