(Opalesque) Franklin Templeton Investments announced the appointment of Shane Clifford as senior managing director, Alternative Strategies. In this new role, Clifford will focus on the global growth strategy and business development for Franklin Templeton’s Alternatives business. Clifford will report to Mat Gulley, executive vice president, head of Alternatives for Franklin Templeton, and will work closely with K2 Advisors, as an area of focus, as well as with the rest of the Alternatives team.
