(FinAlternatives) Despite a stubbornly negative narrative about the hedge fund industry this year, the segment booked gains of 4.06% for the third quarter – the best quarterly return in three years – and is now up a nearly-respectable 5.41% for 2016 YTD, according to industry data provider Preqin.
