Rogers’ CFO caught in frozen Spork fund

Financial Post – Bill Linton, the chief financial officer of cable giant Rogers Communications Inc., is among more than 200 Canadian investors who lost access to millions of dollars when regulators stepped in with accusations of investment fraud at high-flying hedge fund company Sextant Capital Management Inc.

Mr. Linton invested $970,000 in one of three funds that were frozen by the Ontario Securities Commission in December 2008, according to testimony heard in the case Tuesday.
