Maples Finance launches new office in Hong Kong

HedgeCo.net ( New York )  HONG KONG –Maples Finance Asia Limited, the wholly owned corporate, fund administration and investor services subsidiary of Maples and Calder, the international law firm, has today announced the launch of its new office in Hong Kong. The new office will build on the synergies of Maples Finance operations in BVI, Cayman, Dublin and Jersey and on its link with the law firm Maples and Calder, who have a substantial office in Hong Kong.

The new office will be led by Eastern Fong, who joins Maples Finance Asia Limited from Fortis Prime Fund Solutions (Asia) Ltd. He specialises in fiduciary, administration and investor services for all forms of investment funds and will be responsible for driving new business growth across Asia.

Commenting on the new office opening Maxine Rawlins, Maples Finance global CEO said: “We have traditionally provided fund services to our Asian clients through our offices in Jersey and Cayman, but as investment interest in the region grows and, as major investment fund clients establish a greater presence, there is a significant demand for a more personalised and accessible approach to fund services in Asia.”          

Maples Finance provides management and administration services to structured finance vehicles and fund administration, registrar and transfer agency, fiduciary and corporate secretarial services. In relation to investment funds, Maples Finance has assets under administration in excess of US13bn.
