HEDGE fund guru Stanley Fink reckons some of his Man Group funds are safer for punters than shares.
Man’s multimillionaire chief executive says: ‘We have certain funds that, mathematically, are safer than equities.’ He admits hedge funds are more complicated and says: ‘I would not recommend that investors be 100pc in hedge funds.’ However, he adds: ‘Do I think investors should be diversified? Yes’.
Man’s sales have jumped 3bn in six months, taking its assets above 18bn.
You need at least 15,000 to invest in its funds, and the average is 150,000.
The shares rose 4p to 1304p.
