New York (HedegCo.Net) – Eileen Rominger, former Director of the Division of Investment Management at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and former Global Chief Investment Officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), has joined CamberView Partners, LLC as a Senior Advisor.

“Eileen’s track record of leadership in the investor community and deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape will further advance CamberView’s position as the leading independent advisory firm in the areas of contested situations and difficult shareholder votes,” said Abe Friedman, Managing Partner of CamberView Partners. “We look forward to her contributions to the firm and our clients.”

While at the SEC, Rominger was head of the division that regulates the $14 trillion mutual fund industry as well as federally registered investment advisors. Before joining Goldman Sachs in 1999, Rominger worked for 18 years as an equity portfolio manager at Oppenheimer Capital, where she was a Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee.

“As a long-time institutional investor, I’m pleased to see the development of a more robust dialogue on governance issues,” stated Ms. Rominger. “CamberView has rapidly achieved leadership in this space by working with corporate management teams, boards, and asset managers to help them make more informed decisions on matters critical to shareholders. I am delighted to join this team.”

Ms. Rominger joins CamberView’s existing Senior Advisors, Richard H. Koppes and Peter C. Clapman.
