Connecticut Aids Bridgewater Hedge Fund To Build New HQ

Bloomberg – Bridgewater Associates, the world’s biggest hedge fund, agreed to build a $750 million headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, financed in part with tax breaks from the state.

The company, founded by Raymond Dalio, operates out of five buildings in nearby Westport. The new headquarters will sit on Stamford’s waterfront in what is known as the Harbor Point development, Governor Dannel Malloy said today in a statement. Bridgewater also committed to almost double its workforce.
