Stubborn Hedge Fund Buying A ‘Huge Surprise’ For Sugar Markets

(Agrimoney) Hedge funds once again startled the markets, by holding on stubbornly to long positions in the face of a sugar sell-off. Data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulator showed that in the week to last Tuesday, managed money cut its bullish bets in raw sugar futures and options but just 11,786 lots.
