Forbes.com – SkyBridge Capital, LLC, which provides strategic capital to new and early-stage hedge funds, and Capital Returns Master, Ltd., a global long/short equity hedge fund focused on the insurance industry, today jointly announced that SkyBridge Capital has invested in Capital Returns from its SkyBridge Capital Partners, L.P. and SkyBridge Capital (Cayman) Ltd. Funds.
In addition to providing Capital Returns with long-term strategic capital, SkyBridge will seek to enhance its investment in Capital Returns by providing business-building support.
Capital Returns was founded by Ronald D. Bobman in 2003. Since its inception, the fund has focused its investments within the global insurance industry, relying on Mr. Bobman’s direct industry experience. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Bobman was a portfolio manager at Bedford Oak Advisors and prior thereto, he executed mergers, acquisitions and corporate financings for investor Sam Zell and Capsure Holdings, an insurance holding company controlled by Mr. Zell. Mr. Bobman received his Masters in Management from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. in Economics from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
