Bothattorneys are assigned to the firm�s Corporate and Financial Services Group. According to the release, �Ms. Dobson advises numerous hedge funds and private equity funds in connection withstructuring, formation, capital raising and regulatory compliance. She regularly drafts the private placement memoranda and operative documents for hedge funds and private equity funds organized inthe United States and in offshore jurisdictions.�
Ms. Dobson was formerly an associate at the Investment Management and ERISA division of a New York City law firm, and was responsible for private equity and venture capital. She received her J.D. [magna cum laude] from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2000.
The second attorney, Benjamin Bedell is also a member of the Corporate and Financial Services Group, his responsibilities among others is to counsel hedge funds and venture capital investors according to the released statements. Mr. Bedell will be focusing �on the negotiation of partnership and shareholder agreements for both domestic and offshore investment entities.� With over 12 years of experience, Mr. Bedell specializes in the area of �distressed debt and derivatives transactions.� He graduated from Columbia University and Yale Law School, and is a member of the bar of New York and Massachusetts.
