Former AMD Manager in Talks to Plead Guilty in Insider Case

WSJ – A former technology company employee who freelanced as a consultant for dozens of investment firms is in talks with prosecutors to plead guilty in an insider trading scheme, his lawyer said Monday.

Mark Anthony Longoria, previously a Texas-based supply chain manager for Advanced Micro Devices Inc., was criminally charged in December with leaking confidential information about his company’s unannounced earnings to investors. Longoria is one of five investment consultants for Primary Global Research LLC, a Mountain View, California “expert-network” firm, who have been charged so far in an expanding insider trading investigation by prosecutors in New York.
