Nowak as a Managing Director in its burgeoning Technology Investment Group. “We are very excited to welcome Michael to our team. The depth of his 25 years of experience in the technology business and as an international venture capitalist is a great complement to our Investment Banking team,†said Mark Angelo, Managing Member of Yorkville.
Mr. Nowak most recently led the US IT investment office as General Partner in a billion dollar Euro-US venture fund, TVM Capital. He has not only invested in, but sat on numerous Boards of Directors of early-stage high tech ventures on both coasts, from software to semiconductors, where market and business creation have been the key challenges. He also has entrepreneurial, business development and investment experience from work as a co-founder of the Xerox Venture Lab at Xerox PARC and CEO of multiple PARC spinouts, as a VP Business Development for an emerging high tech consulting practice at McKinsey & Co., and as a Manager of two $100M investment programs at the Advanced Technology Program at NIST, US Dept. of Commerce. Mr. Nowak earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University ofPennsylvania and a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
He worked as a post-doctoral scientist at Bell Labs (Bellcore), Princeton University, and at the CEA research labs in Saclay, France. He earned his BA in Physics from Cornell University in Ithaca,
