SAGA Investments to Offer New Hedge Funds

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (HEDGECO.NET) – SAGA Investment management company has joined hands with RAB Investments to offer hedge funds. According to a released statement, the new funds are designed toprotect investors from falling markets; such strategy involves �short selling� securities in declining equity markets.

The new strategy RAB Income Plus Fund will invest mainly in European corporate high and lower yield bonds. Market conditions will enable hedge fund managers to decide levels of exposure applied. Managers in the new strategy can shift exposures depending on the direction which the investment pendulum is pointing.

The new SAGA and RAB joint hedge fund offerings will carry an annual management fee of 1.5% and an additional 15% for performance fees, according to the released statements. The new fund will be domiciled in Dublin Ireland.

No further details about the new portfolios have been immediately provided, but the released statements added that additional details about the new fund launch have been provided to over 70, 000 qualified hedge fund investors.

RAB Capital was founded by Philip Richards and Alen-Buckley in 1999. The company is a multi-strategy hedge fund manager; over the years assets managed by RAB Capital grew significantly. Today, RAB manages over US$1 billion in investor assets employing an assortment of hedge fund strategies such as Global macro, Event Driven, and European high yield.
