Hedge Funds Review – Assets invested in emerging markets hedge funds increased by $25 billion during 2009 thanks to performance based gains of $34.3 billion, according to Hedge Fund Research.
The data provider also said its HRFI Emerging Markets Index gained 40.4% for the year, its best performance since 1999. The rate of return doubled overall industry gains as represented by the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index.
