Reuters- A group of leading hedge fund executives published sharper standards on governance and disclosure on Tuesday in a bid to defang critics of the industry’s opacity.
The Hedge Fund Working Group (HRWG), comprising 14 leading hedge fund managers mainly based in London and headed by Andrew Large, a former deputy governor of the Bank of England, have tightened up some of the standards recommended in its consultation paper published in October.
The final report has "sharpened up and clarified" standards set out in October’s consultation paper after extensive discussion with the industry, Large told Reuters.
