HedgeCo.net – NEW YORK (July 31, 2007)-Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP announced today that Kenneth M. Block has joined the firm as a partner in the Real Estate, Construction and Environmental Practice in New York. He joins from Thelen Reid, where he was a partner in the New York office.
Mr. Block’s expertise will expand the practice by further complementing its existing resources and extensive experience representing owners, developers, lenders, engineering and design firms, contractors and subcontractors in all facets of the construction process.

For more than 35 years, Mr. Block has developed a diverse practice focused on real estate and construction contracts and litigation. His transactional experience includes purchase and sale agreements for commercial and residential buildings, leasing, outsourcing, and the drafting and negotiation of design and construction contracts. He also regularly advises clients on structuring real estate acquisitions and dispositions, as well as development and construction projects.
In addition, Mr. Block is an acknowledged legal expert on green buildings, a field that will enhance the firm’s existing knowledge base on environmental issues and their impact on real estate development. He presently serves as counsel to the New York Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and has written and lectured on numerous green building issues.

Mr. Block received a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from New York University.
