Reuters – Christopher Carter, chairman of hedge fund CQS, is to join Morgan Stanley (MS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) as vice chairman ofinstitutional securities, the U.S.-based bank said on Thursday.
Carter, who became chairman of CQS last November, has more than 30 years experience in investment banking.
Before joining CQS, a big London-based hedge fund, he spent 19 years at Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) in a series of senior posts, including chairman of Europe and chairman of global investment banking. His experience spans fixed income and equities both in Europe and on a global basis.
