Argentina-based Copernico downsizes hedge fund

LONDON, April 6 (Reuters) – Argentina-based Copernico Capital Partners said on Friday it will pay investors a dividend to reduce the size of one of its hedge funds because profit opportunities are not as common as they were.

Copernico’s Argentina Fund will pay investors a 20 percent dividend, leaving its assets under management at $45 million.

The Argentina fund focusses on event-driven situations and has returned more than 96 percent since it was launched in 2003.
