Boston, MA, December 8, 2004— OneWorld Investments, L.P, a Boston-based Registered Investment Advisor that manages $282 million of hedge fund assets in emerging market strategies, announced todaythat it has appointed Daniel T. Smythe as Managing Director of client marketing and investor relations. Mr. Smythe begins work today and is based out of OneWorld�s headquarters. He replaces TracieGunion, who will be leaving the firm on December 31, 2004.

Mr. Smythe was previously with The Seaport Group, a distressed debt broker dealer, running their Boston office. He has over twenty years experience in the institutional bond markets, the last fifteen in Boston with FleetBoston Securities, Inc., BancBoston Securities, Lehman Brothers, Kidder Peabody Inc and Salomon Brothers, Inc. At BancBoston, Mr. Smythe ran the high yield sales effort working with OneWorld�s principals, David Dali and Ignacio Sosa. Prior to joining Salomon Brothers in 1984, he graduated from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia with an MBA in finance. He also received his BA degree from the University of Virginia in 1979.
