When the company is a closed-end fund, some go as far as  recommending changes in the investment strategy. The latest example is David Nierenberg, who runs Nierenberg Investment Management and who owns 7.8% of the <strong>Korea Equity Fund<\/strong>  (<a href=\"http:\/\/tools.thestreet.com\/rmy\/quotes.html?pg=qcn&amp;symb=KEF\">KEF<\/a>:NYSE &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/find.thestreet.com\/cgi-bin\/texis\/find\/results.html?tkr=KEF\">commentary<\/a> &#8211; <a href=  \"http:\/\/thestreet.investor.reuters.com\/reports.aspx?ticker=KEF\" target=\"_blank\">research<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/find.thestreet.com\/cgi-bin\/texis\/cramertake?tkr=KEF&amp;site=tsc\">Cramer&#8217;s  Take<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>  <span class=\"default\">In a recent 13D filing with the <strong>Securities and Exchange Commission<\/strong>, Nierenberg urged Korea Equity to focus on micro- and small-cap growth companies in Korea  or merge with the <strong>Korea Fund<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/tools.thestreet.com\/rmy\/quotes.html?pg=qcn&amp;symb=KF\">KF<\/a>:NYSE &#8211; <a href=  \"http:\/\/find.thestreet.com\/cgi-bin\/texis\/find\/results.html?tkr=KF\">commentary<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/thestreet.investor.reuters.com\/reports.aspx?ticker=KF\" target=\"_blank\">research<\/a> &#8211; <a href=  \"http:\/\/find.thestreet.com\/cgi-bin\/texis\/cramertake?tkr=KF&amp;site=tsc\">Cramer&#8217;s Take<\/a>).
