We are looking for a seasoned sales consultant who is interested in an opportunity to carry the ball for us in order to increase our market presence and to represent our industry leading CRM/investor relations and web reporting solutions for hedge funds and other asset managers. The successful candidate will preferably have both direct experience in the investment industry and also with selling technology tools to the financial industry. You should be very comfortable prospecting and cultivating your own leads as a sales hunter both from your own industry contacts as well as from the wealth of existing client and intermediary relationships existing within ITG. You will have a unique opportunity to work directly with the firm’s principals to assist in building up the firm’s overall sales and marketing efforts which could lead to sales management opportunities as we continue to expand our team. The company is based in New York City, but we have multiple open territory opportunities for the right candidates.
Job Responsibilities
- Prospect, manage sales pipeline and win new clients in the asset management space by demonstrating our industry leading contact/investor management and web reporting platforms
- Utilize a consultative selling approach that focuses on creating satisfied customers by meeting real customer needs and providing tailored solutions
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to close, with ability to handle lead generation and follow up, product demos, detailed requirement scoping, contract negotiations and coordination of onboarding for new clients with our client service team
- Forecast sales activity and revenue goals attainment with responsibility for meeting or exceeding defined sales quotas
- Cultivate and develop deep client and intermediary relationships which result in increasing referrals and networking opportunities
- Serve as an ambassador for the company in communicating the company’s history, vision and value proposition to the market while working in a collaborative fashion with company executives and other team members
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree with strong customer and former employer references
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services technology sales with a consistent track record of demonstrated achievement in past positions OR significant experience in hedge fund investor relations roles with a strong sales apptitude
- Self-starter who can bring a disciplined approach to produce results with limited need for supervision
- Attention to detail oriented approach to consultative solution selling
- Investment industry background or experience is a definite plus
- CRM experience with a variety of platforms is a plus
