Start up costs
Asked by Jonathan Barton

Approximately how much money does it costs to setup a small macro hedge fund?

Depending on the amount of fund infrastructure you wish to put in place, a manager could spend up to several hundred thousand dollars to start a fund. However, at a bare minimum, expect to pay about $30,000. This includes $20,000 in legal fees and another $8-10,000 to develop a website and marketing materials.
