Former BlackRock, Macquarie Heads To Launch Asia Hedge Fund

networking-300x300New York (HedgeCo.Net) – The former head of BlackRock’s Scientific Active Equity department in Hong Kong announced plans to start hedge fund Zentific Investment Management, a Pan Asia Market Neutral fund with capital from institutional clients, founding partners and his own HS Sponsor Fund, Reuters reports.

Christopher Lee and Burke Lau, who formerly was Head of Asia & Japan Quant Research at Macquarie Securities, will be joined by a team of research and programming professionals with investment experience in Asia.

The business side will be led by Michael Friedlander who was formerly Head of Asia Operations, Technology and Onboarding for Millennium Capital Management Asia. Friedlander previously also served as COO and CFO of APG Asia based in Hong Kong.
