Boulder investment firm Agile Group sues hedge fund in Madoff scheme

DailyCamera.com – Alleging the firm was “little more than a marketing arm of (Bernie) Madoff,” the Boulder-based Agile Group is suing the investment group to which it lost millions of its clients’ money.

Earlier this month, Agile Group, as well as the Sovereign Inherent Return Fund, which Agile had an interest in, and the Harbour Trust Co., the trustee of the Agile Group, filed a lawsuit alleging fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and misrepresentation against Tremont Group Holdings and Tremont Partners. The suit also named Tremont’s parent companies Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance and the Oppenheimer Acquisition Corp., their auditing and accounting firm KPMG, and the Rye Select Broad Market Fund, which was managed by Tremont.
