Hedge Funds Care Has Three Events For November

HFCNew York (HedgeCo.Net) – On the top of the list showcasing the philanthropy of the hedge fund industry is Hedge Funds Care, or Help For Children, who will be holding events across the US this month.

Hedge Funds Care was started at a dinner in New York City with the mission of raising as much money as possible for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

“The hedge fund and finance industry will always be the base of our support and the primary target for our events, much of which afford excellent networking opportunities while at the same time helping children,” Dean Backer, President of HFC and Goldman Sachs executive, said back in May of this year.

Traders Magazine today put up a slideshow from recent events.

Events coming up this month include:
Southeast Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit. November, 14th in Atlanta
9th Annual Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit. Nov 16th, Grand Cayman, and
East Coast Comedy Night. NYC, Nov 19th.

“Our galas, cocktail parties, golf tournaments, bike rides, and other special gatherings will remain as premier networking events for the hedge fund and finance industry,” Dr. Kathryn Conroy, Executive Director and CEO of Help For Children, said.

Since its inception in 1998, HFC has awarded over 930 grants totaling more than $33 million. HFC has awarded nearly $2.7 million in 2009, $3.3 million in 2010, $3.7 million in 2011 and $4.2 million in 2012.
