Hedge-fund manager Mueller pleads guilty in $70 million Ponzi scheme

Denver Post – Cherry Hills Village hedge-fund manager Sean Mueller faces up to 40 years in prison for running a $70 million Ponzi scheme that lured wealthy Denver-area investors, including former Denver Bronco John Elway.

Shackled, cuffed and clad in a gray jumpsuit, Mueller spoke softly as he pleaded guilty Monday in Denver District Court to racketeering, securities fraud and theft.
