(FINalternatives) Hedge funds booked their highest monthly return since January last month, according to new analysis from industry data provider Preqin, and the company’s aggregate measure of the industry reached its highest return at this point of the year in four years.Preqin’s All-Strategies Hedge Fund benchmark index returned +1.43%?in September, the company said, driven by strong results among event-driven funds and equity strategies. All six of the company’s top-level strategies were in the green for the seventh time this year.
