Momentum Building Ahead of Argentina’s Midterm Elections

(Harvest) At the end of August we shared an update on Argentina’s primary elections, Primarias Abiertas Simultáneas y Obligatorias (PASO), noting that the strong PASO results were a good sign for the current administration’s going into the October midterm elections that take place this Sunday.

From the first Argentine IPO of 2017 to a number of notable economic data releases, a lot has happened since the August primaries, and the progress in just these last two months has continued to support our positive outlook.

The below highlights key activity that has taken place and notable data released since the primaries related to 1) politics, 2) the economy, and 3) markets.
