New York (HedgeCo.Net) – International hedge fund organization, the Hedge Fund Association (HFA), announced that it has appointed Don Steinbrugge, chairman of Agecroft Partners, to its board of directors.
“I am very honored to be selected and will be involved on the lobbyist sub-committee of the board.” Steinbrugge said, “There is a lot of mis-information and prejudice by the general public relative to the hedge fund industry. I am looking forward to helping educate the general public on the benefits of our industry and improve public perception. In addition, I am also looking forward to helping the Hedge Fund Association influence legislation to benefit the hedge fund industry.”
Steinbrugge will join the segment of the group’s board which represents the interests of hedge fund investors. The HFA also selected Joel Schwab, managing director of Hedge Fund Research (HFR) to be its new Midwest chapter director and Kislay (Sal) Shah of McGladrey to fill the newly created role of Connecticut chapter director.
