Switzerland retains crown as world’s most competitive nation

Dow Jones – An annual survey from the World Economic Forum reveals Switzerland is the most competitive nation in the world, seeing it hold on to its crown after knocking the US from top spot in 2009.

The annual competitiveness study evaluates countries based on various criteria, ranging from their macroeconomic policies, the strength of public and private institutions and the quality of education and infrastructure to the efficiency of markets for goods, labour and capital.
