New Jersey Shifts $1bn In Hedge Fund Redemptions and Allocations

(Hedgefund Intelligence) New Jersey’s $79.2 billion pension fund is redeeming more than $600 million in investments from Wellington Management and Arden Asset Management, part of a series of moves that will see more than $1 billion in hedge fund assets shift among various managers.

The Division of Investment, which manages the state’s pension assets, plans to redeem its remaining $110 million interest in Wellington Management’s Archipelago Partners fund of funds and $522.1 million from Arden Asset Management’s Arden Garden State NJ Fund.
