Hedge Fund Bears Circle Aberdeen As China Compounds Grief

(Bloomberg) Even after a 21 percent plunge this year, short sellers see more trouble ahead for Aberdeen Asset Management Plc.
Short interest in the Scottish firm jumped to 7.4 percent of shares outstanding this month, up from a low of 4.2 percent in January, according to Markit data. Aberdeen, which invests more than a quarter of its assets in emerging economies, has seen clients pull out money at a faster pace as appetite for stocks from those markets soured.
