Britain Upholds Ban of Defunct Hedge Fund’s Former Chief

NYT – A British tribunal has dismissed an appeal by Alberto Micalizzi, formerly chief executive of the defunct London hedge fund Dynamic Decisions Capital Management, who two years ago was fined and barred from working in the financial sector in Britain.

British financial regulators accused Mr. Micalizzi of lying to investors to conceal huge losses at the fund during the financial crisis in 2008 and purchasing a bond contract to give the appearance of artificial gains.
