Hedge Funds Care Cayman allocates $225,000 to local charities

CayCompass – Hedge Funds Care Cayman, a charity for the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect, has allocated a total of CI$225,000 in local grants to eight charities this year. The 2012 grantees include the Cayman Island Crisis Centre’s Children and Youth Programme, which provides group and individual treatment for children who have been abused or have witnessed abuse and are residing at the emergency shelter. Funds will also be used for a public awareness campaign to increase utilisation of the shelter.

The Children and Youth Services Foundation’s Family Reunification Programme in turn provides services to vulnerable families during the transitional period when a child on a care or protection order is returned home.
